A LITTLE BIT ABOUT ME...
I’ve spent the last three and a half years building an in-house design team from scratch to service the global creative requirements of Johnson Controls - a company with a $24BN turnover and staff of 110,000. Working directly with the CMO, CCO and with the Chairman and CEO, I have delivered a world-class design and creative function servicing 20+ business units and regions. My department delivered savings of over $1.5M in our first year and are on track to deliver greater savings despite the current pandemic situation. My current role is focused on building a team that can deliver best in class design solutions, adhere to brand guidelines and principles and perform competitively with external agencies on all fronts in a challenging financial environment.
I have led from the front and built strong relationships and understanding across the enterprise while working in partnership with many diverse stakeholders to deliver class-leading creative (such as our recent OpenBlue digital solutions pivot and launch). I work closely at VP level with the branding and marketing leadership on strategy and design resourcing to deliver a broad range of creative solutions - I’ve done everything from designing a business card to writing and producing a global TV advertising campaign (and everything in between). I am as comfortable working with designers and vendors as I am with VPs and senior leadership.
As the Chief Creative Officer in Johnson Controls, I am also the project sponsor of our selection and rollout of our enterprise level digital asset management (DAM) platform. This has been a two-year selection and implementation process which is now coming to fruition and has stretched my communication, management and collaboration skills with a very different dynamic within the company.
In my previous roles as Creative Director for advertising, design, PR and web agencies I have had the opportunity to hone my creative, managerial and relationship skills. I am well-used to making decisions quickly, leading a team and building a tribe - uncertainty and pressure are routine and I love nothing more than delivering on a brief.
